Romford

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel)

Bethel Fellowship Romford

Our Romford branch opened for its first service on Sunday 23rd July 2019. The branch is led by Host resident Pastor Michael Osundun.

Recently, celebrating their 5th Year anniversary (2024), this branch has come a long way being sustained by the Power of God alone.

Our Projects

The Romford branch has been instrumental in sharing the gospel in different ways, through Evangelism and community outreach. Recently operating under the umbrella of the Hope4All which was a community project established at the headquarters during the Covid 19 global pandemic outbreak. We are using Hope4All to support communities and their residents in various parts of southern Nigeria. Currently, we have set up bases in Lagos, Abuja, Ekiti and Oyo States, and hoping to extend to other states within Nigeria and by God’s merciful grace beyond Nigeria according to how we are led and directed by the Holy Spirit.

Children & Education

Nursery to University level
The branch is working with an organisation who awards scholarship to school children. 20 children have benefited from a scholarship scheme through our nominations – the award is given to the children of Pastors and linked to the children attending and fully participating in church activities.

We received a report that one of the children had recently passed the Jamb (Joint Admission Matriculation Board) examinations to study electrical and electronics in one of the universities in Nigeria. We organise holidays & after school club for school children for free while we pay for their lunch and also we pay for the teachers.

Support for Widows & others

Through our links we have been able to distribute food to widows, the elderly and also disabled individuals.

About 50 individuals have benefited over the last two years from various food items and clothing.

Our distribution points are Abuja and Ekiti, Oyo state in Nigeria.

The work of Renaissance

This was set up by the late Apostle Ayo Omideyi and we are trying to follow in those footsteps in relation to this work of Renaissance by Re-educating the minds of the people in Nigeria to become good model citizens.

The thinking of an average Nigerian is to take without putting back into the community, and how to stop the street market traders from cheating their customers which has become the norm and the order of the day.We know that this is not simply limited to Nigeria alone, but is rife across African continent.

Financial Support

Financial Support is given to empowerment of adults who may need a small amount of capital to trade and make ends meet to support their children. This is in a form of an interest free loan and adapted to suit various individual situations on the ground.
We give between #25,000 to #500,000 at a time, and up to #5Million has been given out in various loans over the last 12months.

In return, one of the participants within the loan scheme returned and gave the church back #10,000

Prayers

We need your prayers to cover more areas especially in Boko Haram controlled communities

Our plans for the future

We would like to have more openings in Northern Nigeria in Kano, Maiduguri etc.

We are also planning to set up a library to encourage children & young people to read more, we intend to provide snacks and drinks with no cost to the parents.

We want to increase the number of children assessing the holiday and after school clubs to all children. The need for educational support is not only a popular one but it is also extremely oversubscribed. Attendance  is high on a daily basis and the class rooms are crowded.
