Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK is a vibrant, black majority led church with service to the community at its heart.

1972

Ayotunde

The late Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi (known then as Brother Ayotunde Omideyi) was ordained as Pastor in Christ Apostolic Church in Nigeria.

1973

Ayotunde

The late Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi (Pastor Ayotunde Omideyi) was commissioned by the Lord to go and set up the Christ Apostolic Church outside of Africa.

1974

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK was set up as the first CAC outside of Africa.

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK were given the keys and took over possession of the premises – 217-223 Kingsland Road, Hackney London, E2 8AN.

Pastor Ayotunde Omideyi was ordained as an Apostle

The late Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi set up The Sower International Evangelical Ministry (SIEM). This is the Evangelical arm of the ministry.

The African Immigration Bureau was founded in the United Kingdom to assist African migrants regularize their immigration status.

1995

The political movement, Nigerian Renaissance Movement (NRM) was set up in Nigeria to change the political landscape of the country. At the height of its works, it had set up offices in 24 different states in Nigeria.

1997

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK (David Camp) Prayer Ground was set up in Nigeria.

1999

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK celebrated its 25th Year Anniversary.

2002

The mission to Tanzania was set up and started

2003

The Lord opened the door for the late Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi to broadcast “The Word” on the Sky TV network platform “Christian Television Channel (CTC)

2003

The following people were ordained and consecrated – Pastor David Folorunso / Pastor Ayo Omideyi (Jr) / Kunle Aderugbo (Secretary) / Simeon Atoza (Administrative Secretary)

2004

The broadcasts on Christian Television Channel (CTC) were transferred to be broadcast on “OBE” Original Black Entertainment, which was also on the Sky TV network platform.

2004

Our website domain – www.cacbethel.org was established to the glory of God. The various changing themes of our websites over the years

2007

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK organised the annual retreat to Italy to study, see and review the works and life of St Francis of Assisi

2008

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK organised its annual retreat to Israel to visit the Holy land

2008

The late Superintendent Pastor Olusegun Omideyi was called home by the Lord

2011

The late Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi was called home by the Lord.

2011

Prophetess Fadeke Omideyi took over the official running of the ministry as Minister in Charge

2012

The Harvester’s Kitchen Project was set up incorporating the Harvesters Soup Kitchen and a food bank.

Harvester’s Kitchen was awarded a food hygiene rating of (5) by London Borough of Hackney in 2020.

2014

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK celebrated its 40th Year Anniversary

2015

Hackney Community Gospel Choir (HCGC) was set up. HCGC was established in an attempt to reach out to people in every walk of life in Hackney.

2016

The songbook, Songs from the Soul, (SFTS) by the late Apostle Ayotunde Omideyi was published

2019

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK (Romford Branch) was set up and held it’s first service

2019

We had the first “Bethel Experience Revival” in the United Kingdom

2019

We were officially served with a “Repair notice” and a notice to quit the premises by the LDF’s legal team

2019

Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK celebrated its 45th Year Anniversary

2020

This was the year of the global pandemic COVID-19 that resulted in a global lockdown and a loss of life of up to 8million people worldwide.

2021

The Community project Hope4All was set up. With the help of some financial help from HM Government

2021

We had our first introductory meeting with our Joint Venture (JV) Partners – IXO Group

2021

We were made a revised offer by the LDF of £250K to surrender both leases and vacate the premises 217 – 223 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8AN

Prophetess Fadeke Omideyi was installed as General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK. The Installation service the church’s 47th Thanksgiving Anniversary Service and was officiated by Pastor (DR) Tani Omideyi (Senior Pastor – Love and Joy Ministries Liverpool and Chair of the Board of Trustees, Evangelical Alliance UK

Go-Getters, young people’s project was set up.

We sent in our first Indicative offer to the LDF to purchase the building for the sum of £500K.

2022

Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle. She reigned for 75yrs. Prince Charles, Prince of Wales became King Charles III after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II

The LDF officially wrote us a letter (from Kevin Rogers) rejecting our offer of purchase and aksing us to reconsider surrendering the leases and accepting their offer.

The LDF wrote us another letter (from David Gregory) asking us for a meeting to consider the options available.

Omideyi Cottage at David Camp in Nigeria was dedicated

2023

The coronation of King Charles III took place at Westminster Abbey.

Our Indicative offer was sent in to the LDF to purchase the building for the sum of £750K.

The Young people (New Creation) organised and held a night of Praise & Worship
