Tracing the Roots: What’s The BSS Story?

Bethel Shining Stars (BSS) was founded several years ago as an initiative by the Bethel Youth Group of Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK. It was initially named Bethel Shinning Stars and aimed to support young people. However, recognizing the growing need for spiritual guidance among children, the program was rebranded to Bethel Shining Stars, now centred exclusively to children aged four to eleven.

Over the past decade, BSS has organized numerous engaging activities for children, including:

  • Bible games, quizzes, and debates
  • Instrument playing, dancing, and Gospel singing
  • Lessons in good morals and scriptural teachings

These activities, enjoyed by the children in our community, take place during weekly Sunday school sessions, supervised by our esteemed dedicated teachers. BSS is rapidly expanding, blessed with children from diverse family backgrounds. It supports their physical, social, and spiritual needs. On the last Sunday of each month, BSS presents the church with songs, plays, and dances based on lessons taught throughout the month.

BACKGROUND

Emerging from the heart of Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK, the vibrant and nurturing Bethel Shining Stars initiative was birthed, dedicated to nurturing children’s social and spiritual growth within the church and the broader community. This initiative has blossomed into a dynamic force, supported by its constitution and management committee, and offers young children a solid foundation rooted in biblical principles, guiding them toward a life illuminated by a path to heaven.

ACTIVITIES

Bethel Shining Stars focuses on holistic child development, offering rich array of engaging activities tailored to the diverse needs of its young members. The offerings include:

  • Captivating dramas and soul-stirring music
  • Spirited sporting events and thought-provoking debating sessions
  • Stimulating quizzes and competitions
  • Enlightening Bible studies and heartfelt prayer gatherings
  • Compassionate counseling sessions

Every facet of the child’s social and spiritual growth is meticulously nurtured and cultivated.
