BRANCHES & FOREIGN MISSIONS

The growth of the ministry and it’s works are not limited to the United Kingdom but have spread right across many countries abroad through evangelical outreach and revival meetings carried out by its primary evangelical arm, The Sower International Evangelical Ministry (SIEM).

SIEM has organised revival meetings within the UK and abroad over the years. International meetings in the past have been held in India, Philippines, USA, Ghana, West Indies, Romania, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria. It seeks to spread the gospel, particularly to the less privileged parts of the world.

The Sower

Perhaps the best known of Jesus’ parables is that of the Sower going out to sow, Matthew 13:3-9. Jesus, in explaining the parable described the seed as the Word of God. John 1:14 also talked about this living Word becoming flesh and coming to dwell among men.

This Word of God is not just any preaching or spiritual talk, it is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The part of the parable He did not explain was who the Sower was. The Lord further explains it in John 4:35-36, when He says, “Do not say four months more and then the harvest? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.

“They are ripe for harvest”, implies that the seed had already been sown, nurturing had taken place, all the hard work was done John 4:38. The crops had come up plentifully and were ripe for harvesting. The Sower could only have been the Lord God Himself, sowing the seed, His Son, into the soil of the earh which are the souls of men. He no doubt has used many in the process, but God Himself is the Principal Sower, The Farmer.  He is the one that shall see the fruit of the travail of His soil and shall be satisfied, Isaiah 53:10. This agrees with the Lord’s comment in John 4:38, about the joy of the Sower.

The name “The Sower International Evangelical Ministry” is one that recognises the finished work at Calvary, that the redeemed are numbered, the Master continues to sow His seed through His children everywhere.

What then is the task of the ministry? Simply that of labourers. We have the joy of going to places where the Master has sown, to reap of the great harvest.

The Ministry

The ministry is a team of reapers. Although it was set up by Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK, it is run as a seperate entity from the church and includes christians from other organisations worldwide.

In order to comply with the various rules and legislations in the various countries where we needed to operate, it was necessary to create various operating entities to keep in line with the local laws of each country.
