Sower International Evangelical Ministry Church Branches/Missions
Sower International Evangelical Ministry (SIEM) , the Evangelical arm of the Church was founded in 1987. Its’ primary focus is on national and international missions. All our evangelical missions operate under the SIEM banner.
The growth and works of SIEM are not limited to the United Kingdom alone, but have spread right across many countries. SIEM has over the years organised revival meetings within the UK and abroad – main international meetings in the past being at India, Philippines, USA, Ghana, West Indies, Kenya, Romania, Tanzania and Nigeria. It seeks to spread the gospel especially to the less privileged parts of the world.
The mission of Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK is the same as Jesus gave to his disciples in Matthew 28:19 – 20: “ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always to the close of the age”.
This mission is carried out in the following ways:
- Evangelism through SIEM, the primary evangelical arm of the ministry
- Broadcast services on the Sky digital platform through FAITH TV, currently channel 591
- Through the CAC (Bethel) UK Website – this offers video on demand services and scheduled programs through CAC (Bethel) TV
- Sower Publications the Late Apostle Ayo Omideyi including videos, CD’s, DVD’s
- Sowercare projects in Tanzania
- The Pacesetters youth project in Nigeria
Underpinning this mission statement is:
Our Ethos:
“Prayer is our business, the Word our priority, Salvation our message”
Our Motto:
“Christ leads, we follow

Selela Project- Tanzania
OUR STORY
Sower Care is an initiative of CAC (Bethel) UK who have carried out several missionary projects across various countries. During a visit to the village of Selela, located in the Arusha region of northern Tanzania, the Minister in charge and Founder of the Sower Care initiative, Fadeke Omideyi and her team quickly became aware of the needs of this deeply rural, under resourced and very primitive part of the country. This part of the country is characterised by the ancient Maasai tribe, who are historically known as warriors and their culture revolves around their cattle.
After visiting schools in nearby Ndinyika and Nadosoito, – sub – villages of Selela, Fadeke and her team were heartbroken to witness the extreme lack of resources within the schools. The only structures in one of the schools were 3 poorly equipped classrooms with hardly any amenities, catering for 348 pupils. This meant different class levels share rooms. Due to overcrowding, the younger children study under a tree. Another nursery school had a single ‘shed’ like room made of bamboos and mud. Teachers and children alike would walk an average of 8 miles (around 2.5 hours walk) forth and back to school daily.
Directly observing this plight spurred the decision for the founder to create an initiative that is dedicated to “Building a better Future” for the children, which has become the mantra of Sower Care. The initiative applies the concept of identifying needs
Background & Research
The government in Tanzania has decreed that all children over 6 years old must attend primary school. This is almost impossible as the schools do not have the capacity to accommodate the children. In Arusha and Moshi, which are very underdeveloped, primitive parts the country, primary schools typically have well over 1000 pupils with only around six or seven classrooms. An average of 150+ pupils per class is not uncommon. A needs analysis conducted by Mondo challenge foundation among 12 schools in the Arusha and Meru region reflected this situation. It showed that the numbers in some classes were so much that the desks were inadequate and up to 5 pupils occupied a bench meant for 2.
According to the Human Rights Watch, “Tanzanian law and international treaties that Tanzania has ratified state that everyone under 18 has a right to education”. This ‘right’ relies on children passing the Primary School Exam which is required to access public Secondary Education . Many children fail this exam due to lack of resources and are pushed out of school each year long before they are 18 years old. More than 400,000 children (49.4%) failed the exam in 2013, in the previous year 69.3% failed. Girls are also disproportionately affected with lower percentages passing the exam
The Contributing Factors for this situation are:
- Overcrowded classrooms
- Lack of teachers
Overcrowded classrooms
Typically there can be between 150 – 200 pupils per teacher. This draws to attention the quality of education the pupils receive and the ability of the primary school teachers to effectively monitor and improve the progress/performance of pupils that need more help.
Project Facts
- 3 out of 4 children in the rural parts of Tanzania will not finish primary school
- The children have a 70% chance of failure
- 80% of the children are unlikely to progress to secondary education

OUR FINANCE
Every penny Sower Care receives goes towards our projects. We do not currently have high running costs and we use the existing structures of CAC (Bethel) UK for our office and resources base. Majority of our funds will be raised from organisations and businesses, as well as public/individual donations and corporate partners. Their funding will help Sower Care stay innovative in designing new projects to improve lives.

David Camp Prayer Ground
Jesus said: “Come away by yourself and rest for a while”. (Mk 6:3 RSV) David Camp is a Prayer Ground situated on 2 acres of grounds. It offers a place of tranquility, where you can forget all the worries of life, concentrate on seeking the face of God, hearing His voice as Samuel did and experience a closer walk with God.
David Camp offers day retreats for individuals or groups with the option of holding night vigils. There is paid accommodation (nominal rate) available for those requiring over-night stay for as long as they wish. Please note that the camp does not permit couples, married or unmarried to share sleeping rooms. Although there is ample space for individuals to benefit from the tranquility, congregational fellowship through worship and prayers is enjoyed amongst others within the camp.
The Camp is a ‘Praying Mountain’ and therefore must not be defiled in any way.
Jacob’s Well Chapel
(Jacob’s Well Life-giving water)
The Jacob’s Well Chapel was commissioned and consecrated in 2009. It enshrines a well of sanctified water, which by the word of the Lord is made available for all who wish to draw from the power of the water of Life. To the glory of God, there continues to be testimonies of those who by faith receive their healing, deliverance, etc. from the use of this sanctified water.
Chapel of Light at David Camp
The Chapel of Light is open to groups who want to worship or hold Christian seminars, prayer meetings, etc.
Revival Services at David Camp
The Prayer Ground at the centre of the grounds is available to individuals and groups who want to travail in prayer
Prayer Patches are individual allotments sanctified for specific prayer needs.
They are designated for travailing in prayer for specific needs such as ‘Deliverance’, ‘Healing’, ‘Mercy’, ‘Victory’, ‘Holy Spirit’, ‘Forgiveness’ ’Fruits of the Womb’ and ‘Blessings’.
